Default How can I make this?

I want to know how to make these kind of dots where they are like a halo surrounding an object and fading into the background. Is there a way to do that with Xara?

If not then is there a plugin that I could get to do it?

    Thanks,
    Muffy

This is known as a halftone effect. There is a free filter from Van Der Lee available here.
I expect there are others. Googling for "Halftone Plugin" should do the trick.
Edit: The Richard Rosenman version (see cyan ellipse below) available here

    My attempt with Xara Xtreme.
    1. Create your background rectangle.
    2. Draw the shape of your halftone "dot".
    3. Clone the dot.
    4. Place the clone horizontally a a distance from the original.
    5. Using the blend tool, select both shapes to produce your first halftone line.
    6. Clone the blend and place below the first line.
    7. Repeat until you have the required shape. Group.
    8. At this stage apply some feather to the group.
    9. Apply a circular transparency to the group.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

Welcome to the Xtreme Conference badmuffy

There is a free utility on the Xara Xone Shareware Page called Raster. It was developed by Dmitry Malutin, a Xtreme user, for Xtreme users.

In the example below, I created a blend of three shapes, white, light gray and black. The blend was converted to bitmap (Arrange > Make Bitmap Copy), copied to the clipboard (Ctrl c) and pasted into Raster using Paste Source from Clipboard.

You will need to play around with the resolution as well as the blend shapes to get the same effect as the example you posted. But it can be done.

I went along with Bobs idea. I always like to create effects in Vector if I can. Here's my attempt using Blends and Contours.

Egg - Raster is vector. It creates a vector bitmap tracing.

Hi Gary, yes I know that, I just didn't explain myself well enough. What I was trying to say is that I like to work with XX's native vector tools rather than go via plugins or tracer (bitmap to WMF) type apps.

If you have Version 4 of Xtreme then you can create it with out the use of 3rd party software.
This was done using X4 [live effect tool] [art filter] [painting]:
Forgive the pixelation, I rushed it.
