    Default Scarlet velvet

I'm still not completely happy with it but so far I think it is looking OK.
Maybe it looks too much like satin?

Looks more like velvet than satin to me.
    I like it.

Velvet doesn't reflect much light (That is why it is used by Photographers as a background). I would say closer to satin than velvet. I don't think my opion is worth arguing over tho.

    Thanks for your insights men,
I think that I will have to reduce the 'wood' effect and eradicate that mottled jpeg effect.

To get the suble bloctchy square pattern that velvet has, I created a pixelated background and appled it using the art filter.
I encountered a lot of problems trying to achieve this, so in the end I created a pixellated pattern using the art filter.
I have just tried it again in XX3. I have achieved it within a minute.
XX4 has no 'anti-aliased' quality setting for me to then convert and 'create a bitmap copy,
This is a pain. Due to the blend bug I already have to use XX3 to complete part of the job.
Is there another way to pixelate in X4?

That's really good, but more as watered silk, which is usually matt and has a 'ripply' pattern.....sorry, not very helpful either!

[I thought Anas's looked like woolen socks while Soquili's looked like leather.]
