    Default Marquetry

I was just looking through old files and found this Image I made a long time ago. I don't remember ever posting it so I thought I might as well now. I do remember posting other examples in the past. Hopefully it might encourage similar play by others...

    Regards, Ross

    Thumbs up Re: Marquetry

Looks great, Ross. I don't recall seeing this image before. I think I remember when many of us were doing that type of image using wood fills.

That is really nice, Ross. It's the kind of thing (in wood form) I'd hang on my wall.

I think it would make a good coaster for a big tankard of beer.

    Ross---

This is a beautiful piece of work. I doubt anyone could make one any more gorgeous using real wood!

I agree with Drifter that it would look great hanging on a wall. Much too lovely to use as a cutting board in the kitchen.

I like that Norm. What would improve it would be if you separated the fill on the star so that each triangle gets its own fill and then rotate the handles on each so that all the fills kind of point to the middle.
