Thread: Spinning circle

  1. #1

    Default Spinning circle

I've been trying to get this to spin which is really not a problem since I can't even get it to load in XARA 3D maker 7.
I've tried different formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, .xar, etc) with no luck. I've tried Import, Import design, and Import style.

and still once I get loaded I still need it to spin.

    Any and all help appreciated.
    Bad Brad

    Hi Brad.
To use an image you need to apply it as a texture on a shape in Xara3D.

    0 Export your image as a 300 x 300 px transparent png
    1 Create a elipse (circle) 300 x 300 px in Xara
2 Save it as spin.xar (or .web)
    3 Import spin.xar into Xara3D
4 Open Colour Options 'Text' from the dropdown
    5 Tick Texture
6 Adjust all other options as required
7 Export animation as a gif.

It's best to match the backgound colour so it matches your webpage colour.

I can't recall if the image is uploaded with the Xara3D file. Long time since I've opened Xara3D.

Click the image below to view the animation.

Really like the rendering, it's excellent.

Thanks so much. I used to be pretty good with 3D, but as time has passed the brain has decided to start forgetting things.
I may be suffering from old timers disease
