Hi Athena,
I'm trying the REPLY function...
Although we are limited in regards to profanity or pornography...What is your opinion on "Color Profiles" ??...Regards,,,Tad...Hmmmmm,,don't seem to be able to PREVIEW this sucker...t.
I expected a reply button on the messages, not the forum page itself (or whatever).
Seems we're going to loose the heirarchy view that the old forums had : (
here, let me try some HTML

hmm. See if this works...

I'm just testing to see if my profile updates along the side, here. I got tired of my comment about "what else do I need to say?"
It sounded kind of conceited, so, sorry about that. (I was only being goofy at the time)
But after I changed my profile, my previous posting still had the cocky comment.
This is only a test.

Ok friends,
Here's what I've discovered so far.
If I edit my profile, after having posted to a thread, then only my new posts will have my new info. However, as you can see on this page, by adding a new post to this thread, all instances of my profile along the left have changed to the new profile.
However, since I respect everybody's time, I won't go willy-nilly posting to threads I've been to just to force the page to refresh.
I figure, this is as a good a thread as any to post tests of the new system.

OK,
one more thing.
the only way to force a refresh of your profile (at the moment) is to go back to all the old threads you visited and make a new posting.
For those who want to view the newest version of a member's profile, you must click the rolodex card icon.
For those of you who have been meaning to add more or less to your profile, the sooner you get it done-- the better. That way your posts from here on have the info that you want to share.
On the other hand, this is kind of cool because it can represent snapshots in time. So maybe one week, you're in Texas, the next week you're in Spain or Japan.
or, one week you're conceited, and the next week you're humble and unobtrusive.
Anyway, you get the idea.
Ciao!

Are you going to put more info in your profile Athena? Me? I'm just a sucker for forms - can't resist filing them in - perhaps that's why I get so much junk mail!

Just thought I might try out the new forum - make sure it works for >me<.
Yep, a tree structure would be nice, but I guess this message has got through by now.
Anyway, here goes...
This is cool. I can edit it after I sent it.
