    Default Behemoth

This monster landed on our patio and I placed an ordinary AA 1.5v rechargeable
battery a tad under 2 inches long, or 5 cm in new money, beside it to give an
impression of scale. Can anyone give it a name? No, I don’t mean like Mo or Charlie.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

Can't believe I've just spent half-an-hour googling moths!

Convinced it's one of the sphingidae moths.

    Mind you ...........

Thanks for trying, John. Like you, I think it's a sphingidae. I've spent
nearly an hour searching, but can't find this particular dude.
If I've just discovered a new one, I'd like it named the Darth Vader
    Hawkmoth please.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

Well since you called it a monster. Then it must be "Mothra"
