Baseball and Cricket

An audio slideshow of an exhibition at the MCC showing links between the games. First International Cricket Match ... USA v Canada! First Baseball World Championship ... held in England! The MCC even have a famous bat of Babe Ruth. I can hear the cries of "sacrilege" swelling up already

You can lay claim to baseball all you want just as long as you leave hockey alone, that is Canada's game!

Ah well, that's where it really gets confusing. What we call 'hockey' is what I think you call 'field hockey' and what you call 'hockey' is what we call 'ice hockey' ... and we've never been much good at either I certainly think of ice hockey as Canadian [says John, ducking for cover!]
