How about "all of the above". It depends on what I am doing. If I am using the mouse I would use the menus, if my hands are near the keyboard I would use the short cuts.

I find it easier to use the keyboard even if it means letting go of the mouse ... a mini-break for the hand probably

Those shortcuts have been around for over 30 years in most applications. Applications that have not used those standards have not been very popular, or only short lived popularity. They even pre-date any Microsoft operating system.

I agree with Grace, if my hands are not near the keyboard I use the menu/toolbar buttons.

The Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V keyboard shortcuts are so ingrained into my work flow I use them nearly 100% of the time. I never use the Edit Menu drop-down options or shortcut buttons, however, I do occasionally (albeit rarely) use the mouse by alt/right+clicking and selecting cut, copy, paste, delete, etc. from the pop-out menu.

When working in programs that use both mouse and keyboard input, I usually keep my left hand on the keyboard and control the mouse with my right hand. I use both hands on the keyboard when typing or entering numbers from the numeric keypad.

FWIW, I usually find these poll questions rather odd.

    Yes I'm a right-click man too but also I use Ctlr+ a lot.
Some software I'll use the toolbar icon.
So my answer to How do you normally cut, copy & paste? would be: "Yes"
