The fillings are made of the soft bitmap brush seen above and below (soft because made at low definition and enlarged) applied to a blend between two horizontal lines (the blend is converted to shapes, ungrouped and joined before aplying the brush !!!)
A quadrangular ClipView is applied to the whole and the filling's look is modified only in modifying brush width and settings !!! (spacing, adding rotation, ...)
I like particularly the randomness of the third quadrangle: only a very little randomizing is added in rotation setting.

I have also superposed a bitmap copy to each quadrangle and given it a 100% saturation transparency, which increases the depth !

    Fascinating like a fractal !!!

    Enjoy !!!!!

    More great stuff, Ivan.

I don't know how you find the time to do all the work for the rest of us.

    Thanks.

Yes, Joroho, you are right, I have some time ! But Xara is also like a "disease" or a drug for me. I think this is the same for Egg, Ross and others... But a lot of work was made by Xara's programmers who have now invented a tool I can only compare to synthesizer for music. Imagine the fun and fascination of technicians who have conceived this instrument which produces sounds never heard !!! Xara X drawing possibilities aren't imaginable.
And for Erik, I am 1,65 high and not so beautiful (I think my head was in a post called "simulate transparency with ...something".
    Regards,

I don't know what it is, but I think brushes are so interesting to animate !!!
It's made of the same brush as the image above, but with a quarter of a contoured star of joined lines as the basic shape. Then I have applied the brush and for each frame increasing the line width.
Look at this "bizarre" effect !!!

    Ivan,
The images you and Egg post using fills and brushes have me totally awe struck! I can't even pretend to understand how you create them.

It's no good Ivan, I've got to get to bed. These images have such a fantastic depth. I'm going to leave it until tomorrow to start experimenting with this.
    Great work

    Hello Christine,

didn't you see it ??? This is the deep pink velvet ribbon brush used to make the above and beneath borders of the quadrangle !!! It is much more enlarged and relatively lighter because it don't receive a second copy with saturation transparency.

    Kind regards,
    ivan
