Thread: Raptor

    Default Raptor

    Well,
Here goes nothing. I started a drawing of a car. It's called "Raptor". This is my own creation, no photos, no models, totally from scratch. I'm posting just the wire frame for now. Been working on it for one day.

You've accepted the challenge! Your well on your way & It will help you in the long run. If you get stuck you'll, find yourself looking at things in a new way, then it'll hit you & you'll realize a solution. Challenges like this tend to open our eyes & help us understand things better. With your vocabulary of drawing skills there's no telling where it'll take you.

Caution: Nothing worthwhile is going to be easy. This applies to all of us.

Good Luck & looks great so far.

BMW went & hired a Young American Designer. Look at the new cars they are coming out with. Not so much that he's an american but a young guy shaking up the industry. Most impressive! So, one never knows....

Here it is. I'm not very happy with the design, I may write this one off. But I am glad that I did this project, as it gives me confidence to try another. Next time I'll put a little more thought into it.

Very interesting concept car, Ron. I like the smooth lines of the front, but the square or blockish back end isn't my taste in vehicles.

Ron another excellent picture, how do you draw the treads on the tyres' is that individual lines etc, same with the spokes?. I know the patience this sort of thing requires.?.

    Thanks all,

    Norman,
The tire treads are made from brushes I've created. The spokes (although they don't show up very well here) were done with one created first, and then subsequent spokes cloned from that.
