These are of the "catlaya" seed line. My wife
has a tremendous variety of orchids. These are in bloom right now. So, I borrowed a plant and sat down and began drawing & painting in Xara X.

The very wonderful> line, color, transp, feather tools were used.

Enjoy..

Publish a book or some postcards or something! Just publish! All your flowers are a joy to see. Add the words "Puerto Rico" to the bottom and these orchids would make a great tourist postcard.

You've done what I had in mind, and - for me, anyway - the image looks right, now. It's really gorgeous, Bill

You have a splendid feel for the beauty of flowers. I am inspired to try some more, myself.

...awesome and beautiful. A masterpiece. Just imagine to have it digitally printed in poster format with a glossy surface. It'll be a smashing hit for all poster companies around the globe. Or orchid growers, traders, importers...

I have tried drawing flowers on a number of occasions and I can't get close. Without wishing to sound immodest, I consider myself to have good drawing skills, if not with Xara yet, at least with more traditional drawing tools. Your drawing seems to have a great empathy with the subject. You are obviously a lover of, or at least surrounded by, flowers. That weightless, translucency is remarkable.
