Photoshop texture plugins give good tiling textures which work very well with the technique I described in "More on warping bitmaps".

1 draw a middle grey quadrangle
2 create a bitmap copy (true color without alpha)
    3 texturize it

4 go to "More on bitmap warping".

Interesting to draw paths in the gardens and many other things!

A great idea Ivan - you can use any of the Xara fills as well - just by dragging them into your picture. Bricks, wood, marble - now anything can be bent and shaped.

Which plug-in are you using for these?

    Christine,

I don't know which is their names in english because the Photoshop and Illustrator with which they came are in french, but they are:

    -craquelure
    -mosaïque
    -patchwork (in english of course)
    -texturizer (idem)

All can apply texture effects to every bitmap (here I used only one uniformly grey filled quadrangle). The latter is interesting because it can apply one image as the texture but it works only with PSD files (GRRRRRRR!!!!!).

    I hope that can help.
