Little ole bean counter Jon. Excellent.
Thanks peoples. There's a wide variety of things going on here and it's great to see all the uses your putting Xara too. Keep them coming please.
Quiet around here lately....... so I thought I'd create a post of what I'm messing about with now. It's not for any reason, just for my own pleasure. Thought I'd have a go at gears and then animate...
Only pulling your leg HD ;)
Yes, a very poor second there Gary. Fortunately I've rarely needed to have a professional print so it's one of Xaras failings that doesn't effect me.
No HD, a Y'awl is:
So here's my variation but I cheated, the scribble is the shark ;)
Frolin, within your example you are creating a text block that contain both Normal text & Normal text+ (i.e. Normal text+ = Normal text but altered)
Avoid this. Instead make your text block...
Thanks for the detailed explanation Acorn. From this I think I'll keep to my current practice of avoiding blocks. Sounds like a good simple idea that transforms into a load of work instead. I'll wait...
I'm with Ian re blocks.

As it say's on the tin. Not seen any posts about it on TG so I thought I'd give the heads-up.
Hi again Tessi. I've had a look at your site and having cut it down from 32 to 1 page I did publish it on my site and even then it was a slow upload.

It also helps if you insert this in the head section of your site:

On the issue were you use the default.jpg
I believe it's pointless having all images lazy loading. You need to have images within the 'above the fold' load normally which is what I've done in my...
No Acorn. In your example file your placeholder specifically calls for a jpg image:
Therefore it will never load a .webp image, only the bear.jpg image. The script I linked to endeavors to...
Perhaps this Acorn?:

Which seems to be the same exercise as using a Xara brush. I'm changing over to a new PC & haven't got AD installed at present. I'll give it a try when I have.
It would be possibly nice to have but in no way a ground breaker as it's fairly limiting in the brush type you can make in my opinion. I prefer the Xara brush which is far more flexible.
Thanks for that Ray.
Hi Andy, late on watch here. I think with the alarm being coloured it washes it out completely so I've had a go at creating an animated gif of one which I've placed it centre on the page (The orange...
